Product Details
The Von Duprin 33/35A Series of panic exit bars meets high quality and listed safety standards, and is durable and reliable. This series meets fire testing standards to ensure its performance in a variety of situations. It can fit doors as narrow as 1-3/4", and it fits both wood and hollow metal doors. For security, the device is equipped with a deadlocking latchbolt, while the vertical rod allows this device to be installed on a two-door application. Similarly, the 33 Series comes with a number of options that allow the property owner to customize the installation for the needs of the building. It is suitable for
rim, surface, and concealed vertical rod mounting, and it has the following additional options:
- Signal Switch (SS) - signals unauthorized use of an entry/exitway. This feature monitors the touchbar and latchbolt, while the key cylinder resets the alarm. This option is designed to work with other alarm components.
- Electric Latch Retraction (EL) - provides remote locking control (usually for free swinging doors). This feature is compatible with fire devices when they are connected to an automatic fire alarm system.
- Request to Exit (RX) - used to signal the egress of an opening. This feature monitors the touchbar with an internal SPDT switch.
- Latchbolt Monitor (LX) - used to signal both access and egress of an opening. This feature monitors the latchbolt with an internal SPDT switch.
- ALK Alarm Kit - used to monitor the use of the entry/exitway. The alarm operates on batteries so it is unaffected by power failures and includes an internal horn.
*Dogging - a feature that locks the bar in a depressed position so that the door can be opened from either side, and eliminates the necessity of engaging the internal mechanisms. Allen Key dogging is engaged with an allen wrench, while knob dogging is engaged by a knob built into the bar.
*Semi-length - the push/press part of the bar only extends for part of the full length of the bar.
*Full-length - the push/press part of the bar is the full length of the bar.
*ANSI/BHMA Grade Standards - the Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMA) is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to determine criteria for the performance and safety of certain products, such as panic exit devices.
*Mag Lock - an electromagnetic locking device.
*Strike - the component of the panic bar that goes on the door jamb; the locking mechanism engages this part to shut the door.
*Single Door Application - the bar is designed for a single door set up; however, most bars are compatible with the appropriate dual door model so that one door will have a panic exit bar with vertical rods, and the other will be a panic exit bar for single door applications.
