The EMX HAWK 2 Automatic Door and Vehicle Motion Sensor uses K-band microwave technology to detect moving people and vehicles from an overhead position. Designed for automatic doors and industrial gates, the sensor provides wide coverage and adjustable detection settings for reliable activation. It can detect objects approaching, departing, or moving in both directions, with sensitivity and direction programmed through DIP switches. The HAWK 2 includes a built-in relay capable of controlling one connected device.

The HAWK 2 can be installed at heights between 10 and 20 feet and operates using 12–24V AC/DC power. Its adjustable detection range and mechanical positioning allow the sensor to be configured for different entrance applications. For automatic entry and exit, two HAWK 2 sensors can be paired with a compatible automatic door opener. Additional locking or exiting devices require a compatible central access control device, commonly referred to as a "nucleus."
