The TB450+ Adjustable Hydraulic Gate Closer is a dependable self-closing solution designed for pedestrian gates weighing from 75 to 175 lbs. Its hydraulic and nitrogen gas-controlled operation provides smooth, controlled closing action, while the adjustable closing speed allows the closer to be configured for the specific gate and application. This makes the TB450+ an excellent choice for residential, commercial, and other pedestrian gate applications where consistent automatic closure is desired.
The TB450+ installs on the opening side of the gate and pushes the gate closed after it has been opened. It can be installed on the top, middle, or bottom of the gate and works with both right-hand and left-hand gate configurations. The closer is compatible with gates from 40" to 64" wide and can accommodate both in-line and offset hinge arrangements.
Constructed from steel with a durable PVC-coated finish, the TB450+ is suitable for vinyl, steel and wood (also chain-link gates with the optional TB-LINX, sold separately). Mounting brackets and a fitting bar are included for installation. The closer is not compatible with gates less than 30" wide. For proper operation, warranty protection, and to restrict the gate opening angle, a gate stop must be installed.
Important: Operation of the closer outside the specified temperature range of 15°F to 122°F may result in improper operation or complete failure of the closer.
