The lock features a zinc-plated steel housing designed to withstand up to 3,500 lbs. of force and uses a magnetic solenoid for reliable operation. It operates on 12V to 24V DC power and is fail secure, meaning the gate remains locked without power. When power is applied, the solenoid retracts the latch to release the gate. In the event of a power outage or system malfunction, the lock can be manually released with a key. The pivoting latch design requires less than 1 lb. of force to engage, allowing the gate to lock reliably even when modern automatic gate operators slow down before closing.
The complete professional-grade kit includes the electric gate lock, receiver, lock control board, 12V 4 Ah battery backup, transformer, push button, and 20 feet of low-voltage wiring.
