The Sentry E. Labs 2083EJ Electric Door Strike is a fail-safe electric strike designed to electronically lock and unlock doors equipped with standard non-automated spring latch handles. Compatible with both metal and wood door frames, the 2083EJ can be installed on right- or left-hand opening doors and is designed for applications requiring remote access control.
The 2083EJ requires a 12 VDC power source and must be paired with an access control device that regulates the amount of time the strike remains unlocked. Compatible access control devices include keypads, proximity card readers, GSM intercoms, GSM receivers, automatic door openers, and timers. Additional activation accessories, such as push buttons, hand sensors, micro-switch panic exit bars, switched handles, and fire releases, can be connected through the access control system.
As a fail-safe electric strike, the 2083EJ allows the door to become unlocked when power is interrupted, helping prevent occupants from becoming trapped during a power failure. The strike also features a built-in latch sensor that detects the presence of the door latch and can provide status information to a security system. A built-in bypass switch can keep the strike in the unlocked position when needed.
