The Sentry E. Labs 2086GL Frameless Glass Door Drop Bolt Lock is a fail-safe electronic locking system designed for frameless glass doors. It installs at the top of the glass door and operates as a deadbolt, providing an electronic locking solution for interior door applications. The lock is available in left-handed and right-handed configurations and accommodates glass doors up to 12 mm thick. Its 12VDC-powered design uses an induction magnet to extend the locking bolt without generating excessive heat during extended operation.

The 2086GL features a built-in time relay with adjustable unlock settings of 0, 2.5, 5, or 9 seconds, eliminating the need for a separate timing control unit. Its fail-safe operation automatically retracts the bolt when electrical power is lost, allowing the door to remain unlocked during power failures. The built-in sensor detects when the door is open and keeps the bolt retracted until the door closes and the locking base realigns with the sensor. The lock operates through normally closed (N/C) dry contact activation and supports compatible access control devices, including keypads, card readers, hand sensors, and switched handles.
