The PB1100 is UL/cUL Listed and available in standard, and stainless steel configurations to accommodate different building requirements. Its straightforward surface-mount design makes installation easier while providing a secure latching solution for commercial facilities, offices, retail locations, warehouses, and other high-traffic areas.
Recommended Applications:
- Glass doors with a metal stile (frame) of at least 4-1/4"
- Steel, wood, and composite solid-face doors without any projections on the door face
- Doors up to a maximum width of 36" (can be field-sized to fit doors as narrow as 30")
- Doors requiring UL-rated panic hardware
- Doors up to a maximum thickness of 1-3/4"
- Doors with any usage frequency (light, medium, or high traffic)
- Doors up to 7' tall, or up to 8' tall when using extended rods (sold separately)
- Single doors and double doors with mullions
- Doors requiring a secure method of dogging
Not Recommended For:

Trimming the Panic Bar to Size:
The actual bar that connects the two handles is provided ready for sizing. To shorten the bar, simply cut it with a hacksaw or miter saw to the required length. Drill a 3/16" hole in the bar for the set screw, then attach it to the handles.
Changing from Right to Left Hand Mounting:
There is no top or bottom on this panic exit bar. Rotating the bar 180 degrees will position the latch in the opposite direction, allowing for either right- or left-hand mounting.
Latching and Mounting:
This panic bar is surface mounted and is installed on the rear face of the door. The strike mounts on the door frame behind the door, not on the inside of the frame where a handle may have previously been installed. If the door has an existing handle, it will need to be removed. Caps are available to cover the hole left behind after the handle is removed. Door jamb brackets are also available to cover where the old handle latched to the frame. Mounting bolts are provided; however, depending on the door material, you may choose to use wood screws, self-tapping metal screws, or, for added strength, sex bolts. Sex bolts have a female side on the outside of the door and a male side on the inside that join together through the door. Since both faces of the door are used to secure the bar, they provide a secure hold.

Gate Boxes
Use a gate box for gate applications. Gate boxes are designed to house Lockey keyless entry locks and can be mounted on both new and existing gate configurations. Available in aluminum and steel, LockeyUSA offers compatible gate boxes for many of their mechanical keyless entry systems.
Door Closer
There are several variations of door closers with different features; however, the main purpose is the same: to ensure the door stays closed. Because this door will always latch to the strike, a door closer is a popular addition to help ensure the door remains closed and locked.
Keyless Panic Trims and Other Trims
If outside access is required, one of these accessories must be purchased; otherwise, the door can only be opened from the inside using the panic bar. PanicExitPro offers LockeyUSA keyless locks, which replace the keyed cylinder and are commonly used with panic devices. Lockey also offers a variety of easy-to-install trims.
